Rose and Matt’s marriage is on the rocks. In a desperate attempt to save the relationship, Matt takes Rose deep into the wilderness for a weekend camping trip. Alone together, it quickly starts to feel more like a trap than a romantic weekend getaway.
Then Rose gets separated from Matt. As night closes in and she desperately tries to find shelter, a terrifying thought begins to take hold: What if Matt left her here on purpose?
Dasha Kittredge is a veteran of the famed Los Angeles interactive theater production The Willows and television shows including Nurse Jackie, as well as a graduate of NYU’s Meisner Extension. She is the type of actor who thrives on delivering whatever the scene requires, whether that means playing it straight or chewing on the scenery. This role will require both and more, and she can’t wait to dive in!

Fell Out Of Love marks his return to acting after nearly twenty years and the first time he’ll be performing his own material on camera. View Ben on IMDb ↗Our film will be lensed by the brilliant Jonathan Michael Mahoney! Jonathan has shot multiple features, shorts, commercials, music videos and experimental films. He is a graduate of California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and FAMU (Film and TV School of the Performing Arts in Prague, Czech Republic), with an emphasis on 35mm cinematography. Most recently he worked as a camera operator on Avatar: Fire and Ash. Jonathan had the honor of being selected by Kodak to be an official 16mm film stock tester for Kodak’s Vision 3 250D stock before its commercial release, and is so excited to be shooting 16mm again!
Oh, and did I mention I plan to shoot this on 16mm film?
This is a key part of what we’re raising money for. When all is said and done, shooting this on film will cost about $1,000 more than shooting on digital, but the results will be worth every penny.
Film is intention. Film is a magic trick. A literal illusion. Some people love working with digital because it gives them more options to work with in the editing room. I’m not interested in having more to work with. I’m interested in getting the takes we need. We won’t have much time regardless.
Put it this way. While I’ve seen so many movies shot digitally that look better than so many movies I’ve seen that are shot on film, at the end of the day, I firmly feel that film at its best is still consistently better than digital at its best.
And we’re shooting in the wilderness! Talk about looking great on film! I want to see the rich greens of the trees, the texture of skin, through the grain of 16mm.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to make and distribute the film. Pre-Production will take about 8 weeks and we are planning to shoot in April in the greater Los Angeles area, so our aim is to reach our goal by February 15th!
